Rafting through the wildwater in an inflatable dinghy Since the 1980’s, rafting has been one of the most popular forms of “untamed” recreational activity in Central Europe. Equipped with a neoprene suit, life jacket, helmet and paddle, an experienced guide will accompany you as you float through all levels of whitewater in your rubber raft. A very intensive natural experience from an out-of-the-ordinary perspective.

The Salzach is one of the most interesting wildwater rivers in Austria. But don’t just take our word for it! Why not join us, for example, for the longest rafting tour in the SalzburgerLand:
In the capable hands of a certified pilot, you’ll head out on about a 2-hour, adventure-packed rafting tour, passing through imposing gorges and untamed, yet romantic landscapes.

Canyoneering- It’s all about overcoming your limits and meeting new sporting challenges. Whereas rafting involves whitewater boating and an ability to swim, canyoneering demands that participants are in even better physical shape and come equipped with a heaping helping of courage. By rappelling, climbing, jumping, sliding, swimming and sometimes even diving, you travel the ravines from top to bottom – always outfitted in the appropriate safety equipment, of course. Team spirit and mutual trust are indispensable elements of this intense nature adventure.

Requirements
Both sports demand a great measure of alpine and aquatic skill, which is why they should only be attempted when led by an expert guide. The individual tour operators will give you details about the equipment you will need.

TIP >> Bike & Raft

Ride your bike upriver and return on your inflatable raft. This tour variant promises even more fun, sports and adventure.
