Whether you have an inkling to try a tandem flight, want to learn to fly for yourself, or simply wish to pursue your hobby, this region’s fantastic geographic location creates outstanding thermals, allowing you to stay aloft for hours. The north winds blowing over the Thurn Pass make prolonged climbs possible.
Whether you are a beginner or more experienced, you’ll find optimal conditions in Hollersbach, with a launch area next to the Gasthof Berghof and several landing areas in the region. The beautiful area between the Hohe Tauern and Kitzbühel ranges, invites you to enjoy extended flights.
The 2,300 m-high Wildkogel is an ideal take-off mountain. Time and again, it has served as the launch pad for record-breaking flights.
Located in the neighboring community of Bramberg is the Pinzgau Flight School – the only one of its kind in the entire Hohe Tauern National Park. Everything is possible, from sampler classes to earning your special pilot’s license. Broad practice fields, launch areas at varying elevations and obstacle-free landing areas, make learning to fly easier than ever for our new fledglings!
